Starting Robusta RPA Worker and Connection to Robusta Orchestrator

This document outlines the procedures for initiating the Robusta RPA Worker and establishing a connection to the Robusta Orchestrator. It covers both the direct worker startup process, which includes automatic Orchestrator login, and an alternative method for connecting via a dedicated connector application.

Starting the Robusta RPA Worker

Follow these steps to start the Robusta RPA Worker and automatically connect to the Robusta Orchestrator.

1. Start the Worker:

   • Double-click the Robusta RPA Worker shortcut on your desktop.
   • If the shortcut is unavailable, navigate to C:\RobustaWorkerCE\RWorkerCE.exe and run the executable directly.

   

2. Handle Security Alerts:

   • If any Windows Security Alerts appear, proceed as shown in the example below to allow the worker to run.

   

3. Monitor Worker Status:

   • Once started, you can observe the worker's status. It may take up to 10 minutes for the Robusta Worker to be fully operational, depending on your computer's configuration.

   

   • The worker is ready when its status is indicated as shown in the image below.

   

4. Log in to Robusta Orchestrator:

   • When the Robusta Worker is ready, the Robusta Orchestrator Login screen will open automatically.
   • Provide your credentials in the fields below and click the "Connect" button.

   Field	Description
   Username	Your registered username (e.g., john.doe)
   Password	Your corresponding password (e.g., abc123)

   

5. Explore Interface Buttons:

   • The buttons on the left side of the interface provide quick access to key applications and resources:

   

   • Modeler: Redirects to the Modeler website (https://cloud.robusta.ai:8443/modeler/#/processes).
   • Winspy: Launches a Robusta application used for inspecting web browsers and Windows applications to retrieve XPath information.
   • Need Help?: Directs you to the official Robusta Documentation website.

Connecting to Robusta Orchestrator Web Application

Use these steps to manually open the connection screen and log in to the Robusta Orchestrator Web Application.

1. Open the Connection Screen:

   • Double-click the "Start Robusta Connector" hotkey on your desktop.
   • Alternatively, run the file located at C:\RobustaWorkerCE\RobustaConnector-GUI.bat.

   

2. Log in to Robusta Orchestrator:

   • The Robusta Orchestrator Login screen will appear.
   • Enter the required information in the table below and click the "Connect" button.

   Field	Description
   Username	Your registered username (e.g., john.doe)
   Password	Your corresponding password (e.g., abc123)
   Worker Port Number	The port number for the worker (default: 8843)
   Orch Address	The Orchestrator server address (e.g., cloud.robusta.ai or your server IP)
