Element The JSON-based selector identifying the target element. Required
Label An alternative to Element that identifies the target by label instead of a selector. Optional
Label match type Defines how Label is compared against candidate elements (e.g., Equals, Contains). Optional
Attribute name The name of the attribute to retrieve. Required
Result variable name The name of the variable where the retrieved attribute value will be stored. Required

Action Types & Examples

Attribute Retrieval

  • Format: string
  • Example Result: "Enabled"

Implementation Examples

Field Setup - Application instance: ${appInstance} - Element: the target control identified by the UI Automation Inspector - Attribute name: Enabled - Result variable name: getAttributeResult

Technical Notes

Label and Label match type provide an alternative to Element for identifying the target, useful when a stable selector is not available. Provide either Element or Label, not both.
